Volleyball – In training over 1000 volleyball players a year, one COACHING CORRECTION that is extremely common is….making sure the volleyball SERVER has a routine. Practice the routine and make sure “finding the official” for the serving whistle is included in your routine. Athletes should feel a sense of a rhythm in their serving routine.
Basketball – The basketball LAY UP is a fundamental that can elevate a player’s confidence and help put points on the board! One suggestion is to make the last dribble a strong POUND DRIBBLE that snaps the basketball from “the floor to your ear.” This will keep the ball on your outside shoulder and not allow it to swing across your body (for the defense to steal/strip).
